Rs. 7.5 Bn in unpaid water bills from consumers

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Water Supply says it is yet to receive 7.5 billion rupees in unpaid bills from consumers.

Officials had told President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that the consumers include houses, schools, and government agencies.

During a meeting on Wednesday (15), the President had instructed to complete 2,337 water supply projects carried out using local and foreign funds.

The President had instructed to resolve the issues related to those projects as soon as possible.
