Ceylon Biscuits founder Mineka Wickramasinghe has passed away

COLOMBO (News 1st); Mineka Wickramasinghe, the founder and President Emeritus of the CBL Group, passed away on Wednesday (15).

The late Wickramasinghe was well know for developing a protein enriched children's biscuit in 1967 that became a nationwide initiative with the Ministry of Education to help prevent malnutrition among school children.

Mineka P. Wickramasinghe retired from the position of Chairman of the Ceylon Biscuits (CBL) group in 2015, after almost 48 years at the helm of the organization he founded in 1968.
