Growth in tourist arrivals

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Tourist Development Board said that tourist arrivals are showing an increase again.

The Director-General of the Tourist Development Board Dhammika Wijesinghe said that at least 920 tourists visit the country daily.

Tourist arrivals had fallen sharply in recent months due to the uneasy situation that took place in the country.

She further said that at present more tourists will be arriving from India.
