Sri Lanka's reserves rise after five months

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's reserves rose for the first time in five months, with the officials reserves increasing to USD 1,920 million. 

According to CBSL statistics, the official reserves have been on a steady decline since December 2021, when it was last estimated at USD 3,139 million.

Moreover, the Parliament yesterday (7) passed the proposal to raise the country's debt ceiling by another trillion, in view of the country's current economic crisis.
