250,000 hectares cultivated for Yala Season

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Agriculture said that 250,000 hectares of paddy lands have been cultivated during the Yala season this year.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture Rohana Pushpakumara said that another 120,000 hectares remain to be cultivated.

He said that paddy has been cultivated in all paddy fields in the Eastern Province.
