Man clubbed to death in Slave Island

COLOMBO (News 1st); A man has been clubbed to death near the Slave Island train station, says the Police.

Police stated that he was beaten to death with a club, and that the attack was carried out by two pursuers of the suspect who was fleeing after stealing wires belonging to a contracting company yesterday (03) afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as a 45-year-old resident of the Slave Island apartment complex, while two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
