First batch of essential medicine from China arrives

COLOMBO (News 1st); The first batch of essential medicines and surgical equipment donated by the Chinese Government, containing 14 essential medicines, arrived in Sri Lanka last night.

Accordingly, 256,320 syringes of the Enoxaparin Sodium Injection have arrived Colombo, which was received by the Minister of Health, Keheliya Rambukwella and the Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong.

This stock of medicines has been donated by the Chinese Government and other various community organizations in the country.

Another phase of this stock of drugs provided by the Chinese government is due to arrive in Sri Lanka this month with a total value of over $ 28 million.
