Rs. 695 Bn supplementary estimate to Parliament next week

COLOMBO (News 1st); The government is planning on presenting a supplementary estimate of Rs. 695 Bn to maintain essential services, on Wednesday to Parliament.

It is expected to be presented by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Finance Minister.

In addition, the Prime Minister will make a special statement to Parliament on the current status of the economy to the Parliament next Tuesday, and Party Leaders have agreed to debate the statement for two days.
