Suspect found with 76 elephant pearls by STF

COLOMBO (News 1st); The largest elephant pearl raid in the country has been carried out in Ampara, Iginiyagala and Aluth Ela areas by members of the Police Special Task Force in Ampara.
Accordingly, a suspect has been arrested with 76 elephant pearls in possession.
The STF said it was the largest number of pearls found in a single area in in the past.
The suspect arrested in connection with the incident was identified as a 67 year old resident of the Ampara Devalaya area.
