Homicide & Organized Crimes Division takes over Atulugama murder case

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Homicide and Organized Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigations Division has been handed over the case of the death of 9 year old girl from Atulugama on the suspicion of the case being a murder. 

The body of the deceased is being kept at the Panadura Hospital for further tests and the post mortem will be conducted today (29).

Police also said that no information regarding the suspects involved in the murder of the girl has been revealed yet.

The girl was identified as a resident from Atalugama, and Police said she is a Grade 4 student from a local school.
