COLOMBO (News 1st); Migrant workers demanded for the authorities to give the incentives for dollars brought to Sri Lanka, in writing form.

The Shramabhimani Jathika Peramuna convened a media briefing yesterday (27) and spoke on the policy decisions which the Government has taken with regard to migrant workers, which include a car for 100,000 USD, and housing with a land for 50,000 USD remittances.

Ranjith Nanayakkara, member of the All Ceylon Middle East Service Union Alliance stated that while none of the migrant workers make that amount, alleged that the Government is speaking about incentives which will never be granted.

Meanwhile, Indika Jayawardena, Treasurer of the All Ceylon Middle East Service Union Alliance alleged that what the Government does is continue to steal their funds, and demanded for the incentives in question to be given in written format.
