Laugfs to distribute gas within six days

COLOMBO (News 1st); Laugfs gas which had stopped distributing its products for several months, will commence the distribution of domestic gas cylinders to the market within the next 6 days.

Laugfs Chairman W.K.H Wegapitiya said the company was able to open Letters of Credit, and thereby will be resuming the distribution.

Also, Litro gas said that there will be NO domestic gas cylinder distribution on Thursday (26) and Friday (27).

The Chairman of Litro Vijitha Herath said that two gas vessels with 7,500 MT are currently en route to the island, and one vessel will arrive on Friday (27) while the other vessel arriving on Sunday (29).

Payments have been made for both these vessels, he said.

Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath said the distribution of domestic gas cylinders will commence from the day after the arrival of the first shipment.

Litro advises the public to refrain from improperly stockpiling gas and NOT to buy or sell gas at exorbitant prices.
