App developed to monitor refueling of vehicles

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Energy, Kanchana Wijesekara states that a mobile application has been developed to monitor vehicles at fuel stations and share real time data with fuel stations islandwide.

Accordingly, the application, which was developed by the Sri Lanka Police IT Department, is being tested in multiple locations currently. The Number plate details of the consumers at the pump will be entered, and the entered data is shared real time with the other app users.

The Minister states that once the number plate is entered, it will notify if the same vehicle has pumped fuel on the same day from any other station and the history of refueling of the vehicle.
