G. C. E O/L Exam begins Monday (23)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination 2021 is scheduled to start on Monday (23) and will go on until the 1st of June.

The G.C.E Ordinary Level examination scheduled for last year had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The number of candidates appearing for the examination this time is 517,496 and among them, 407,129 of them are school applicants.

The Department of Prisons stated that 15 prisoners are also scheduled to sit for the G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination today (23).

The examination will be held at 3,844 examination centers and it will be coordinated through 542 centers.

Commissioner-General of Examinations L.M.D Dharmasena has instructed the candidates to come to the examination center in advance.

The Commissioner-General of Examinations further instructs the public to avoid creating roadblocks during the examination period.
