COLOMBO (News 1st); A person has been shot dead in the Paragahadeniya area in Mawathagama last night (21), Police states.

Police also stated that the victim succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Mawathagama Hospital following the shooting incident.

The deceased has been identified as a 48 year old resident of Sinhadeniya, Paragahadeniya, and it is yet to be ascertained who carried out the murder and the motive behind the murder.

Mawathagama Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
