Mahanayake Theros condemn violent attacks on peaceful protestors

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Mahanayake Theros of the Siyam, Amarapura and Ramanna Nikaya’s or Sects have strongly condemned the violent attacks on peaceful protestors on Monday (9).

In a statement, the Mahanayake Theros said the attack on peaceful protestors is a blow to democracy and humanity at large.

The Mahanayake Theros called on Sri Lanka Police and other agencies to strictly enforce the law against all those responsible.
