Party Leaders meeting due to be held tomorrow (9)

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Party Leaders meeting is due to be held at the Parliament tomorrow (9).

It will be presided over by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (9) at the Parliament Complex.

The Speaker stated that the no-confidence motions against the Government and the President as well as the forthcoming Parliamentary week will be discussed at this meeting.

Meanwhile, a group of 11 parties including the Sri Lanka Freedom Party decided yesterday (7) to give their full support to the no-confidence motion brought by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says it has decided to support the no-confidence motion against the President as well.
