Weather Alert: Thundershowers likely tonight (5)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology announced that several spells of showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Uva, Eastern, and North-Central provinces and in the Hambantota district during the evening or night.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
