Three arrested in Meegoda with firearms and live ammunition

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested three suspects in the Meegoda area, in connection with a murder committed in the Rangala Police jurisdiction.

According to Police, firearms and live ammunition were seized from the possession of the suspects.

A firearm manufactured overseas, a locally manufactured Revolver, 12 rounds of 09mm ammunition, and 11 rounds of 5.26mm ammunition were found among the seized weapons.

The suspects, aged 22 to 24-years have been identified as residents of Owitagama and Yatapatha.

They were placed in remand custody after being produced before the Homagama Magistrate's Court.
