Labor Ministry conducts study on unemployment during crisis

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Labor has commenced a study on the rate of unemployment in Sri Lanka during the present economic crisis.

Minister Vidura Wickremanayake said that attention will be paid to the industries that were shut down in the face of this crisis and the Department of Labor gather the necessary data through the district offices.

Further, Minister Vidura Wickremanayake stated that after this study, plans will be prepared for the relevant workers and industries.
