COLOMBO (News 1s); The Ministry of Health said that Sri Lanka will receive another stock of essential medicines on Friday (29) under the Indian Line of Credit.
Director-General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardana stated that the vessel carrying the consignment of medicines will arrive in Sri Lanka this afternoon.
He stated that these medicines could be used to address the shortage of medicines in hospitals for the next two months.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has said that it will donate medical supplies to Sri Lanka through the Sri Lanka Red Cross.
At the same time, Indonesia has decided to donate 3.1 tonnes of Humanitarian Aid to Sri Lanka.
