Ayurveda doctor stabbed by homeless man outside Battaramulla super market

COLOMBO (News 1st); A homeless man had stabbed an Ayurveda doctor to death in Battaramulla on Tuesday (26) night.

Local authorities said that words were exchanged between the Doctor and the homeless man when the latter had begged for money, while the former was exiting a supermarket in Battaramulla.

As the argument between the two heated up, the homeless man stabbed the doctor and fled the area.

Investigations are underway to locate and arrest the suspect.
