COLOMBO (News 1st); Images have surfaced showing a series of black barricades set up across various points around the President’s Office in Colombo, with spikes. These barricades are part of the series of measures adopted by Sri Lanka Police to prevent the Inter-University Students Federation protest march from proceeding towards the President’s Office located on the Galle Face stretch next to the Occupy Galle Face protest.

Sri Lankan authorities had used GI pipes to erect semi-permanent barricades to prevent the massive march by University students from proceedings towards the President’s Office.
