20 Sri Lankans granted amnesty by Qatar

COLOMBO (News 1st); Twenty Sri Lankans imprisoned in Qatar have been released, said the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment. 

The SLBFE said that a woman was also among the 20 Sri Lankans released, who were previously imprisoned for various offenses.

The Bureau of Foreign Employment stated that the group was released under a general amnesty granted by the State of Qatar.
