1,500 MT of rice to reach SL every week

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation said that 1,500 MT of rice will be imported to Sri Lanka every week under the Indian Credit Line.

The Chairman of Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation said that in addition 16,000 MT of rice was shipped to Sri Lanka as well.

He further said that the rice will be provided to the public through LAK SATHOSA branches and cooperative outlets at a concessionary price.

The Chairman said that another 26,000 MT of rice is to be received by Sri Lanka under Indian loan assistance.
