COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Fisheries said that there is sufficient fuel for fishing activities, adding that all fishing harbors have been instructed to supply the required fuel stocks for multi-day vessels without any restrictions.
Secretary to the Ministry Indu Ratnayake speaking to News 1st said the fuel shortage in Sri Lanka has not had a major impact on the fishing industry.
The Secretary to the Ministry said that fishing harbors and fishermen are requested to inform the Ministry or the relevant Authorities if there is any problem regarding fuel.
