Litro Gas Chairman decides to step down, sends resignation letter to President

COLOMBO (News 1st); Chairman of Litro Gas Theshara Jayasinghe has tendered his letter of resignation to the President.

The letter dated the 14th of April 2022 notes that on the 26th of July 2021 he accepted the post of Chairman to lead a state-owned institution that was marred with irregularities, and corruption, and was not subject to any government audit.

Citing multiple other facts, the gas crisis and the present state of affairs as well as his personal policies, Theshara Jayasinghe said he decided to step down with effect from the 14th of April 2022.
