NO end to crises & NO solutions yet

COLOMBO (News 1st); Multiple crises have taken a toll on Sri Lanka over the past few months, and there appears no solution will be provided any time soon.,

At the same time the people are protesting in every part of the country demanding the Government to step down.

There are shortages of essential items in the country such as fuel, cooking gas, and medicine.

Doctors pointed out that there is a serious medicine shortage, and patients are at risk due to the shortage.

Queues for fuel have been seen in many parts of the island since this morning.

Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), Sumith Wijesinghe said that the reason for fuel shortage is the increase in daily Diesel consumption.

The Chairman further said that there are sufficient stocks of fuel in the country.

He said steps have been taken to import 265,000 MT of Diesel and 140,000 MT of Petrol.
