COLOMBO (News 1st); Another person died while waiting in a fuel queue in the Thawalama area in Galle on Monday (11) morning.

The deceased was identified as a 43-year-old resident of Habarakada, Baduwatta, and he is the 5th person to pass away while waiting in line.

Police said that the person had arrived at the filling station around 3.30 AM this morning to purchase Diesel for a Lorry.

Police further said he was found dead in the driver’s seat after waiting in line for hours.

The body has been placed at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and the post mortem will be conducted today.
