COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa abruptly left the Party Leaders meeting in Parliament on Tuesday (5).

Speaking exclusively to News 1st, Rajapaksa said the President and Prime Minister has invited anyone from other political parties to step forward.

Commenting on the decision taken by some MPs to remain independent, he said that the SLPP is an independent party.
