Protests in Colombo and other cities against Government

COLOMBO (News 1st); A large number of protests staged by the people are being reported from across the island.

The protests are staged against the Government and the current crises.

According to the News 1st Correspondents, people from several professions and civil organizations have joined the protests covering all parts of the country.

A group of residents from Colombo 07 staged a protest opposite the Nelum Pokuna Theatre in Colombo on Monday (4) morning.

The residents in Homagama staged a protest in the Town as well.

The Voice of the Independent Artists Organisation staged a protest opposite the Diyatha Uyana in Battaramulla this on Monday (4) morning.

Another group of artists representing the Cinema Industry staged a protest opposite the National Film Corporation.
