COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) announced a special program has been launched to supply fuel to factories and industries.
The Chairman of CPC, Sumith Wijesinghe said that the decision was reached during a discussion with the factory owners and industrialists.
He said several factories have already been registered with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation for this purpose.
He further noted that industrialists who have such a need can further register with the CPC.
In the meantime, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation announced that a vessel carrying 37,500 MT of Petrol is due to arrive in Sri Lanka on Sunday (3) under the Indian credit line.
CPC Chairman Sumith Wijesinghe said that another vessel carrying 40,000 MT of Diesel will arrive in Sri Lanka on Monday (4) under the Indian credit line.
He said that the shipment of 40,000 MT of Diesel that reached the country on Saturday (3), will be distributed on Sunday (3).
