COLOMBO (News 1st); A large group of Sri Lankans gathered opposite the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre in the heart of the Colombo City, to protest against government mismanagement of the country’s economy.

The group stood on opposing sides of Green Path to voice their anger and frustrations against the present state of affairs and the rising cost of living.

The protest took place just hours before an island wide curfew came into effect.
