Declare school holidays from Monday (04)- PUCSL

COLOMBO (News 1st) ; The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has recommended the Ministry of Education to declare early holidays from Monday (04) for school children.

The decision has been reached in the view of inconveniences faced due to lengthy power cuts, as well as the cost incurred for fuel due to transportation issues. 

Moreover, the Chairman of the PUCSL stated that in consideration of the fuel ships which are due to reach the island in the next few days, the durations of power cuts may be reduced.
