CID continuing with investigations regard to Mirihana protests

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police say statements have been obtained from more than 150 people regarding the Mirihana protest, in accordance with the investigations which are being carried out by the Criminal Investigations Division (CID).

Police stated that they had obtained statements from the injured, including residents of the area, as well as members of security forces.

Further investigations are being carried out by the CID through probing security camera footage in the area.

Police say that they are also calling for analysis reports regarding telephone calls made during the relevant period.
