Your weather update for Friday (1st April)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology announced that showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most parts of the island except the Northern province during the evening or night.

Fairly heavy showers of about 75mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
