COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister Athauda Seneviratne passed away at the age of 90 on Thursday (31) morning.
He was being treated at a private hospital in Colombo.
Athauda Seneviratne entered politics from the Lanka Sama Samaja Party and was later elected to Parliament representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
He was the Kegalle District Leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for a long time and was a senior politician who held various portfolios including Labor, Youth Affairs, and Mineral Resources Development.
