COLOMBO (News 1st); US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie J. Chung told President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that steps will be taken to provide financial assistance for Renewable Energy Projects through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
According to the President’s Media Division, the Ambassador had noted this when she called on President Rajapaksa on Monday (28) in Colombo.
In a tweet, Ambassador Julie Chung said the recent US – Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue underlined the commitment of the United States, to a democratic, prosperous, and sovereign Sri Lanka.
The US Ambassador’s tweet further read “I met with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to discuss SL’s economic challenges and how we can work together to promote inclusive governance and protect Human Rights.”
