More than 100 arrested for cutting firewood at Somawathie reserve

COLOMBO (News 1st); More than 100 people who went to cut firewood in the Agbopura Divulgaswewa area at the Somawathie Reserve have been arrested.
Police sated that the arrested suspects were between the ages of 16 and 60, and 7 tractors carrying the suspects were also taken into custody.
They are due to be produced before the Kantale Magistrate tomorrow (27).
