COLOMBO (News 1st); The agreement with India for a credit line of USD 1 billion has been signed a shot while ago today (17), the Indian High Commission states.
The USD $01 Billion loan agreement was signed to facilitate the importation of essential commodities and pharmaceuticals to Sri Lanka.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the Foreign Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar and the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman.
The Ministers also discussed wide ranging issues of mutual interest and economic cooperation at the meeting.
Neighborhood first. India stands with Sri Lanka.
