COLOMBO (News 1st); Eight persons have been killed in road accidents in several parts of the island, Police says.

The accidents have occurred in Bloemendhal, Meegoda, Biyagama, Polpithigama, Kuruwita, Melsiripura, Kumbukgate and Nelukkulama police divisions, and several persons were injured in the incidents.

The majority of the accidents were due to reckless driving, police stated.
