Airline ticket prices up by 27%

COLOMBO (News 1st); The price of airline tickets has increased by 27%, said Sri Lanka's Civil Aviation Authority.
Its Chairman Upul Dharmadasa speaking to News 1st said the prices were increased after the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar.
He said that airlines have reached the decision to increase ticket prices with effect from midnight on Thursday (10).
