Diesel & Petrol via Indian assistance

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri :Lanka's Minister of Energy Gamini Lokuge stated that Sri Lanka will receive Diesel & Petrol on the 15th, March 2022 under Indian loan assistance.

He further said that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) will be making orders to obtain Crude Oil to Sri Lanka, and added that the fuel refinery is operating at full capacity.

The Minister said the refinery can maintain a stock of 208,000 MT of Crude for refining purposes.

Moreover, he stated that the CPS is looking at maintaining stocks, and it will not be a problem to deliver to the consumers and the CEB.

He said that he is looking forward to making a statement on that on the situation in the near future.
