Fuel crisis will end in the next few days: Gamini Lokuge

COLOMBO (News 1st); Energy Minister Gamini Lokuge says that the distribution of diesel and petrol to filling stations island wide has commenced.

He also assured that the fuel crisis will end in the next few days.

The Minister also emphasized that no decision has yet been taken with regard to increasing fuel and electricity tariffs.

However, the public were still seen waiting in long queues at petrol stations today (06), while farmers, fishermen and tourism industries continue to be affected due to the fuel shortage.
