Johnston admits there are queues, says Ministers should have been positive about economy

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Opposition exists to carry out the Opposition's duties, and there is no need of Ministers in the Government to do that, says Minister of Highways, Johnston Fernando. 

Remarking about the removal of two Ministers, Minister Fernando stated that despite whoever that leaves the party, no other parties will be able to become the majority power in the Parliament.

However, the Minister admitted that there are indeed many queues in the country for essential goods.

"If the former Minister keeps on saying that we only have this amount of oil and that amount of oil, that is not going to help this situation. We should all be positive at these instances," he added.
