Smoke from BBQ Grill suspected cause for N' Eliya double deaths

COLOMBO (News 1st); The death of the couple which took place at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya is suspected to have been caused due to inhaling hazardous gas from the BBQ Grill, says Police Spokesperson. 

Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the incident had taken place in a Hotel in the Kalukale area in Nuwaraeliya, when the couple was found dead in the room at the hotel.

Later, during investigations into these deaths, it was found that the couple has taken in the BBQ grill which was used last night into their room in order to warm themselves in the night, Police states.

However, this cannot be confirmed as the exact reason and more information will be revealed after the autopsy is completed, the Police Spokesperson added
