36-year-old man arrested for raping minor

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested a 36-year-old man for raping a 15-year-old girl.

According to Police, information has come to light that the suspect had earned money by using the girl for prostitution and aiding and abetting in the extortion of the minor.

The investigations also revealed that transactions worth Rs. 4.5 million were made between eight bank accounts maintained by the suspect.

Police said the 36-year-old suspect was involved in a prostitution ring for 18-years.
