UNHRC sessions to start on 28th Feb

COLOMBO (News 1st); The 49th session of The United Nations Human Rights Council is to be held on the 28th February 2022 in Switzerland.

This session is to continue until 1st, April 2022.

At this session, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights will present a documented update on Sri Lanka to the Council, and an interactive dialogue on Sri Lanka is scheduled for March 13, 2022.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. G.L Peiris will lead the Sri Lankan delegations to the 49th Session of the United Nation Human Rights Council.

During his visit, the Foreign Minister will also meet with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
