COLOMBO (News 1st);The Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government states that a new circular containing instructions to use electricity and fuel sparingly in public institutions will be issued on Monday (21).

Its Secretary, J.J. Ratnasiri stated that the use of air conditioners in Government institutions will be restricted, as well as the use of electricity for non-essential decorative purposes.

In addition, summoning people to Colombo from remote areas will be restricted via the new circular.

Accordingly, the Secretary instructed to hold discussions and seminars through Zoom technology, whenever possible.

In addition, the new circular has instructed that fuel be used for Government vehicles only for essential duties.
