COLOMBO (News 1st); The Commissioner General of Prisons was directed to produce former MP Ranjan Ramanayake, who is currently in remand, to the Special Presidential Commission’s of Investigation on Thursday (17).

President’s Counsel Thisath Wijegunawardena, the Legal Secretary of SJB stated Ramanayake was interrogated regarding certain facts mentioned in the ‘Upali Abeyratne’ commission report and added that the interrogation will continue for two more days.

Ramanayake has stated that he denies all the allegations made against him in the relevant report.

He was produced before the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry under the special protection of the Prison Emergency Response Strategic Force and prison officials, the Prisons Officials stated.
